Pope Francis

Pope FrancisPope Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on December 17, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was ordained as a priest in 1969 and became Archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998. He was elected pope by the College of Cardinals following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI on March 13, 2013.
